A few weeks ago, Ryan and I took a trip to southern Maryland to pick up a synthesizer he bought on Craigslist (the purchase itself is a whole other story!). After we finished the Craiglist adventure, we went on over to Calvert Cliffs to do a little hiking! It was a great time. Ryan has quite a knack with the camera too...way better than my skills, haha.

It's Em-Dog's 3rd Birthday!!!
In honor of Emma's birthday, I decided to make some dog biscuits for her (in the shape of hearts, thanks to a cute wedding gift I received). I started out with a multigrain pancake mix I had some extra of, and added a can of sweet potato and venison dog food.
I rolled it out and cut it into lovely little hearts, and baked at 325 for about 45 minutes. They could have baked longer and would have been much crispier dog biscuits....they ended up like dog cookies instead. I froze half of them and refrigerated the rest for Emma's kong toy.
On the days Ryan doesn't get home until I go to bed, Emma makes coming home so much more enjoyable. I figured she deserves some cookies in her honor, especially since she's turning 21 in human years this year. She seems to have enjoyed herself...

The High Boy
Last weekend, I stopped by the Patterson Park Flea Market and found an awesome dresser! The lady I bought it from called it a "high boy" and I immediately went to Lowe's to find some fun paint for it. Enjoy before and after pictures below!

Emma Gets a Visit
Our friends Megan and Chris came to visit us last weekend, and Emma got a visit from her buddy Lola. Here's some action shots of the girls.
And afterwards...all tuckered out.
Festive Fabric Banner
I found a tutorial for this on the Sew, Mama, Sew Blog and thought it was super awesome. I sort of followed the instructions and sort of just went with it, resulting in (somewhat surprising, based on my limited sewing ability!) success! However, my workmanship is definitely not the neatest, so the banner is definitely better looking from a distance than up close. Nonetheless, I am super excited about it and I think I'll make another one to go behind it with different sized triangles.

Record Snow in Baltimore
We got the biggest snow ever this week in Baltimore. The funniest part is that it's actually snowing again right now! And we just got our cars dug out from the other snow....Emma is enjoying it though!
